There are several tips that can help you choose a suitable designer to work with you on your project. Here we shall provide some of these tips that may help:

1. Make sure you have clear objectives and that you understand what you need to be designed.
Understanding what you are looking for and having a clear idea about what you need will definitely help you choose the right designer. You can start by researching about the design category you need and may be have a look at the latest trends so that you know what to expect.

2. Identify the skills you are looking for.
Because now you have a clear idea about what you need exactly, you should be able to identify what skills the designer you want should have. For instance, if the work you need is of a vector logo, then you may be searching for a designer who is skilled in Adobe Illustrator; or if you need a photo manuplation, you may be searching for a designer who is skilled in Adobe Photoshop, and may have photographing skills if you will require them to use very specific pictures.

3. Designers' Rating and Previous Projects
See what other customers have said about this designer by reading the reviews and viewing their ratings. Whether on Designira, or on the designer's own Behance profile, it is always very useful to read what others who have actually dealt with the designer have to say about their work, the time management, the creativity level, the response rate...etc.
You might also need to consider the number of projects the designer has worked on which might indicate a certain level of previous experience.

4. Designers' Portfolio
You must understand that there is no one single perfect way to make a design. People have very different opinions about what they like about a design; and there are tens of styles and design types out there that definitely vary from one designer to another.
So, reading the reviews about the designer alone will not be enough because you might have different preferences and taste from the other customers who have worked with that specific designer. The one thing that everyone might agree upon is whether the design is creative.
Go through the designer's previous artwork by viewing their portfolios on Designira, Behance or other media they have provided so that you get to decide whether you like their design style or not.

5. Take Opinions
You know who your target audience are more than anyone. If any of your friends or family members match your target audience criteria, you might make use of their opinion about the designer's style and see what they have to say.

6. Ask An Expert
If you happen to know someone who has a certain experience with design and art, their opinion should come in handy. They can advise whether the designer's style would match what you need or not.

7. And Of Course, Ask Designira!
If after trying out the above options you remain uncertain, please feel free to contact us about anything.
